Prague ~ Part Deux

I took soo many pictures while in Prague on Sunday. Some of you have asked me about the weather, while we walked around that day. It was sunny/cloudy/rainy. Wow, I actually sound like a meteorologist lol!!!

In this picture, you see the Prague Castle to the left.

So the following pictures are of the famous historical bridge Charles Bridge!

Behind us, a view of the bridge tower at the end of the Charles Bridge on the side of Mala Strana (below).

A view of the Mostecka viewed towards Malostranske Namesti behind Adam (below). Also, the Church of Saint Nicolas in the background.

Doesn't this look like Venice?!
We ate lunch at this awesome restaurant Grosseto Marina Ristorante. Delicious!!
This place gives you a blanket so you don't get cold. How great!
Josef Manes (1820-1871) ~ Czech Painter.

Another one of our many couple shots...! In the distance, top left, you see the Prague Castle. It's one of the biggest ancient castles in the world according to Guiness Book of Records. Pretty cool!!

Horses, the jazz boat and old cars are services which are operated to tour Prague. It's a great way to get around the city via the river and/or narrow streets.
Horse carriage in front of the St. Nicholas Church in the Old Town Square

In the right corner of this picture, you see the Kinsky Palace in Old Town Square.

A BIG monument in the middle of Old Town Square. I couldn't really figure out what it represented though..?
The Prague Astronomical Clock! It's a medieval clock located south of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square. This was a very popular attraction!!!

Prague

I thought it appropriate to start this post by telling you just how much I loved visiting Prague. Yesterday morning, we woke up to a gorgeous sunshine so Adam said: "We're heading to Prague today". I was ohhhhh so excited!

It will take me more than this post to tell you about my day in Prague. More to come after this one!

The departure board... It's all gibberish looking. Was happy that the hubs was with me. I kinda felt like I was in the Amazing Race trying to figure out what train to get on... lol!!!

We walked into the train and sat in the restaurant area to grab some breakfast and tea. We got a fantastic view of the surrounding cities on our way to Prague! We traveled by train cuz it's the cheapest way to get there.

The zooming view in the background!

We made it!! Finally, we get to see Prague together.

I am loving this city already!!!!!

It has so much to offer including food vendors. The aroma was delishhhh!

My lovely tour guide!

Adam and I in the "Old Town Square", Prague. Behind us is the "Church of Our Lady before Tyn" (below).
There is a constant stream of people going back and forth and I love to people watch!!

Narrow streets.

This is a fine example of the restaurants around Prague. Prague is known as "the-city-where-the-beer-is-cheaper-than-water"!

Well, like I said.. I love Prague! If you come to Czech Republic, or if you live here already, get yourself to Prague!

The Mall

Otherwise known as the AFI Palace Pardubice, the shopping mall is within walking distance of our apartment. It's also located across the hockey rink. I didn't expect it to look like this...so new! I guess it's cuz it only opened in November of 2008.

Here are a few pics:

In the mall, you can find the following stores; H&M, Esprit, Sephora, Bata, New Yorkers, Yves Rocher and Nike. The other stores are some that I have never seen before but are pretty nice. Most of the staff does not speak English which can make it challenging especially when you need help.

This is the food court which is located on the 2nd floor.

It's a great place to get away, particularly if you like to shop!

Our Apartment!

Adam and I have moved SO MANY times, it's ridiculous. Our house in Florida is our "owned home". But when hockey season comes around, we move. I was asked to give you a tour of our apartment in Pardubice, Czech Republic. Here it is...!

Kitchen
The first picture is the view of our cute (little) kitchen. I will keep appliances for a post all on it's own. Trust me, you will want to see my dishwasher, washer and fridge. HA! Anywho, there isn't a lot of storage space, as you can see. But, we make it work. We do NOT have an over..! Who knows how that will work out come Thanksgiving and Christmas lol!

Living Room/Dining Area
The next two shots give you a view of our living room, desk; tucked in the far left corner - where I blog :) and the dining room table. Doesn't the furniture remind you of IKEA?!

Shadow and I having a heart to heart haha!

Loft
The loft area upstairs has only a few beds in it. We never go up there. There is plenty of sunlight that comes throught those windows.
Shadow is wondering what I'm doing in the loft haha! She started crying....to funny!
Spare Bedroom
This is our space room. The bed does make 2 beds which is nice if we have company stay with us... Hint Hint all your "would-love-to-come-visit" friends!

Different angle of the spare room

I am still in our spare room trying to show you something... That doorway is our master bedroom, so that means we have to walk through the spare room to get to our room. So different, right?! But, it's ok.

Master Bedroom
This room is our bedroom.

Entrance
We enter our apt using that door at the end of the yellow hall. The far left door is our toilet room and the next door is our shower room. Yes, they are separate and I will spare you the picture.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the apartment we will live in this hockey season!!
