Memorial Day!

Sunday, we had the special privilege of joining our friends in celebration of Memorial Day! This is what we were driving towards... Eeek! But it rained for maybe 30 minutes, than it was nice. We got to kick back and relax while floating in the river :)

Humongous volleyball!
These guys are inseparable lol!!

You couldn't wipe the huge grin off Adam's face as he enjoyed his time on the water. We had fun with great friends. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. (Side note; I would have taken more pics or even pics that included me but my camera died - darn!)

A few things...

We visited a new sushi location over the weekend ~ AMURA. My friend and I had been talking about it for a while now but were waiting for Adam to return from Czech Republic so he could join us. I must say, it was excellent! The "Spicy Bubba Roll" is a must try. The service was good and we were in great company. Thank you so much Melissa & Jim!!!

Before we left to go to Amura, Adam played a quick game of hockey with Melissa & Jim's lovely boys. Oh... and their Rottweiler "Carla" haha!!

An unusual nice but cloudy day allowed us to do some yard work this weekend. I did some trimming of struggling bushes and palms, along with pulled a million weeds and sprayed them with "Round Up" so they wouldn't return. Adam cut the grass and did an amazing job at power spraying our back deck. I will post pics soon!

For those of you following my blog, you'll know that I hate this intersection.. Ugh! Another accident this weekend!! Makes my skin crawl because it's a bad BAD spot and there should absolutely be a traffic light! Thankfully, no one appears to be injured.

I've enjoyed reading all your posted comments this week!!

Thomas Joseph was born first at 6lbs 8oz and Samantha Marie came right after (~40 seconds after) at 6lbs 9oz... Sheeesh! These little ones are gorgeous - so beautiful! Adam and I went to visit today and were just in awes! Tiff and Josh are such amazing parents already and are loving life! We are so excited for them. Congrats Martin family ♥

The Pool & The Duck...

Real quick post... Yesterday, Adam suggested an afternoon at the pool after his workout... YES PLEASE!!! We had our friends Mike & Emily join us. Little did we know that Mr. Duck-Duck would want to hang out with us also lol!!! Who knew ducks liked chlorine water?!

Gotta run... Later ♥

Update: The Rug!

Remember I told you I would show you where I put my 1st project? Well, here it is... The rug made quite a noticeable difference in our living room. I'm very happy with it :)

Shout-out to the Czech Republic hockey team for winning the World Championship 2010 ~ Another gold medal!!

8x8 Picture Tag

I've been tagged by the fabulous Molly over at http://mystilettosanddiapers.blogspot.com. Thank you Molly for thinking of me ♥. You are doing such a great job settling into your new home :)
Okay... So it turns out that there are several different games of "Blog-Tag" going around the blogosphere and now I'm it for the very first time!! My blog-tag game is "8x8 Picture Tag".

Here are the rules:
1. Go to your photos files and select the 8th photo folder.
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same.

When I saw this picture, I had a smile on my face because it brought back such great memories. This was taken back in 2007 when Adam and I spent 2 weeks in Key West. We stayed a few streets from Duval St where all the fun was. It was definitely one of our favorite vacation spots ❀

I have chosen to tag the following 8 lovely blogs :)

Project #2 ~ Parachute Shorts

While browsing my friend Jolene's blog, I got the idea to alter a beige pair of cargo capri pants that just weren't fun anymore. Clothes can be expensive, so when something goes out of style, recycle! It took a teeny bit of patience to make them look nice but I did it. Now, I have a kabillion things to go with these cutesy shorts!

Wayyyy more flattering & fashionable ~ Thanks Jo!!

B-Day Sun-Day!

♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM!!!! ♥

On Sunday, we went on Melissa & Ian's boat for Adam's bday. We headed to disappearing island which I spoke about in a previous blog. Just a hoot! The three-day Seaside Balloon Fest was going on and we got to see a bit of the entertainment by the WWII Warbirds... Check it out!

Our sweet little ride "Riley & Clayton"
Riley and I explored the island looking for small crabs. Our attempt was successful!!! We found several crabs. Those little critters were a bit scary if you ask me. But Riley loved it. She was so excited every time see saw her four legged friends.

Adam and Clay give two thumbs up!

The Dapuzzo's (Melissa's parents) tagged along for the fun day.

The florida water was gorgeous ~ this pretty shade of green. I'd never seen it this vibrant.

My birthday babe ♥

On our way home, Melis suggested a swim right in the middle of inlet harbor - swallow end of course! Those kiddos had no fear jumping right in. Loved spending this hot day watching them splash around.

Sun down on meeeeee!

When we first decided to live in Florida, Adam and I dreamt of summers on the beach, enjoying the water. But who knew we would meet such great friends!!! Thank you Smith & Dapuzzo family :)

Satuuuurday!

Happy Monday Friends!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We had a great one celebration my husbands birthday. Friday night, we cruised on down to the Pavillion to grab dinner with our friends at a new restaurant called Malibu Beach Grill which was really good! Afterward, we headed over to a frozen yogurt shop to satisfy that sweet tooth. We had a good time talking about our cruise and going over funny stories :)

Saturday, we wasted no time getting to the beach and enjoyed a fun filled day with our friends and their kiddos. Here are a few of the lovely pics I got to snap...
