U.S. Citizenship Exam

I will need to take a U.S. Citizenship Exam. I've been gathering some questions here and there on internet from people who've taken this exam in the past. Thought I'd get ahead of the game {ya, right}. Well, today on the front page of Yahoo, I saw the below video. From what I gather, the exam has changed considerably. I'm guessing it's because the government wants to achieve it's goal of better controlling the visa process but holy am I suppose to go back to school (in the U.S.) in order to know all this?! I mean, I did all of my schooling in Canada and of course we learnt some stuff on U.S. history and the U.S. government but the items in this video are hard...

Would you be able to answer this?!

Shadow's 2 years old!

I've just returned to the blogosphere from a wonderfully busy and full week of soaking up time with our dearest friends from Florida. Ahhh, it always goes by so fast. This pup-a-roo is one spoiled doggy. She's been in our life since she was 8 weeks old. Followed us through all the moves and this new adventure in Czech Republic. Her latest milestone was taking the train and joining us in Prague. She spent an entire day walking around the city with us and by the end of it, she was DONE...! She's one amazing girl which we adore. Looking forward to spending a gazillion more years with her =)

Bratislava AGAIN...

We traveled 3 1/2 hrs (each way) to Bratislava this week. We went to get our visa to be able to stay in Czech Republic for more than 90 days. It was a long day which ended, well...not so good.

Finally, we arrive at the embassy of Czech Republic just on time for our appointment.

We walk up the stairs and wait to be called at this little window. Now for the bad part...

They called me up first, so I answer questions through the window. I thought it was going well until I get a reject for a visa!! REJECT!!!!! My blood started to boil, I wasn't happy. The team was responsible for our papers since everything was in Czech language. We assumed they had all their ducks in order. They sent photocopies of our documents and the embassy requires the original. The same papers which Adam has been asking for since August. The hubs got accepted and his visa is approved. I was told I have to travel 7 hrs again to return with the proper documents. UGH!

You may be thinking "so what else do you have to do?!". We have our friends who've traveled from Florida and I'm so scared that I will have to go while they are still visiting. This would mean loosing one day with them. Hoping it will be scheduled once they are gone. Will keep you posted!

Bye Bye October

Another weekend gone by.. We got to hang out in Prague ~ such an amazing city. Here we are having hot treats outside. Adam and I have our first visitors arriving tomorrow. We are beyond excited to have Jim & Melissa join us for a week. Yaaaay! I might not be blogging as much but will return with lots of fun stories :)

While in Prague, they were setting up a red carpet?! I was so darn curious to see what was going' on. It's Christian Louboutin.... Hmmm??

I spent Halloween watching the hubs play hockey. He had an amazing game - 2 goals. I'm so proud of him!!

And how could I not hijack these adorable pics of my goddaughter over @ Adventures of Abigail!! Abby as a little giraffe. Isn't she stinkin' cute?! I melt!
