Grocery shopping seems like it's a BIG chore these days. The hubs is the best at getting our necessities! Here he is looking at labels.
Here is the soup section. We find ourselves guessing what kind it is by looking at the package picture.
All the pasta in these bins.
When buying fruits & veggies, you must get a label from this area.

Pasteries ~ so delish!!!!
Trying to pick a fresh baquette. They all looked so good!
I picked one (finally) haha!
Was real happy to see a Philadelphia cream cheese container!!!

Globus is a pretty big supermarket.
Spices - probably the most difficult thing to understand. Still haven't found garlic powder nor chicken broth?!
Sausage
A clothing section just like Sam's Club or Costco.
Cereal
Checkin' out!!
Gum
On our way out, someone shopping inside left their Germain Shepherd outside. It's very common for people to leave their dogs like this.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this post about our adventures in grocery shopping. Believe me, it's not easy. I bought flour instead of sugar.....UGH! Live and learn :)

I'm not sure if they even sell garlic powder here, I've never seen it. But if they do, it should be called "česnek".
It's a pretty funny post, it must be an adventure to go grocery shopping here :) Were people cool with you taking photos around the supermarket? I can imagine them staring at you thinking you're totally crazy, haha :)
They do, it can look like this

I see this garlic powder on the top, first left :)
Good choice, Globus is the best supermarket here :)
Hi Monique, chicken broth (kuření bujón in Czech) you can find in the same section like a soup (down). For example Knorr, Maggi, Vitana. Garlic powder is similar like a "česnek granulovaný" in CZ. On your photo of spices it is 4 th line a 4th from the left side.

I had to laugh when I read this :-) A family friend went to Romania for about 3 months when they were adopting from there, and she bought all sorts of junk and didn't realize it till she'd gotten home and opened it up. Crazy!

That supermarket looks like it would be fun to shop in! It looks huge from the photos!
That looks like an awesome supermarket.. even though you can't read anything! Make sure to just take a lexicon with you.. and you'll be fine.. it took me months to finally get situated with the grocery stores in Russia.. i'm thinking it may be much better there than it was in Russia too.. so you'll eventually get used to it :)
Thank you for the translation!! I appreciate all your help so much.
Michaela, I usually take pictures everywhere and don't think twice haha. I've not noticed people giving me looks which is good I guess. But I do however notice that people enjoy staring lol! So funny ;)
Love it... again! I enjoy reading your posts! xox
