This article is floating around facebook about stay-at-home moms (SAHM). The columnist gave such a great answer that I thought I'd share it on my blog. We don't have kids, however, I would never question a SAHM's time nor the challenges this role presents...! Hats off to parents :)

I have yet to come across this on Facebook, but WOW, great answer by the author! She hit it right on the nose. It's a demanding job, but it is SO rewarding at the same time.
I love this article and it is so true.. I really under estimated how time consuming being a mom could be until I became one.
I think I'd heard about this article but never seen it!
amen! i don't have any kids either, but a day with my niece who is 4 is entirely draining. i get 2 things done where i'd normally get 20...she wants to "help" with everything and she should get to or how else will she learn? it takes time and patience to be a parent. not sure it will ever happen for me!

Loves it and it's so true! I only have the one and it can get hectic sometimes. I could never imagine hounding any of my friends like that, kids or not...sheesh! Love your fall update as well!
Stay warm!

I love that you posted this. Being a new SAHM I have experience working outside the house and now staying home. I have said it many times on my blog..and I will say it again. Staying home means STAYING BUSY! I feel like I "work" more now than I did when I had an outside job. More is expected of you when you stay home..and I homeschool both of my girls as well. I have never been so tired and exhausted. From the moment I wake up until around midnight not one second is devoted to me or something I would like to do. Even simple phone calls require me to lock myself in my restroom. It is a full time job!
i COMPLETELY AGREE!!!!
You got married on my birthday! What a special day ;) Cute couple. Love the blog.
