I walk our dog Shadow around Pardubice every day. I don't like to take the same path so I switch it up. This week, I came across the "Veverka Cousin Statue". They invented the plow in 1823. It's an
interesting story cuz another man tried to take credit for their unpatented invention. Francis and Vaclav both died in poverty the same year - 1849. The investigation for this dispute was resolved in 1883 where the Veverka Cousin got authorship for the plow. This city is so rich in history... I have much more stories to come!
On our street, there is a store called "US Fashion Store". They sell clothes which includes brands such as; Guess, Abercombie & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, etc...
It was a very quiet morning walk on our city streets.. It's cuz today, October 28, is Independent Czechoslovak State Day (or Independence Day in Czech Republic). The day the foundation declared independence from the Hapsburg Empire at the end of World War I.
