Like I said in my last blog, I have GREAT news... My immigration interview has finally been rescheduled for this month WOOHOO! It was suppose to happen back in March but Adam couldn't leave during playoffs. I'm so darn excited to have this pressure lifted off my shoulders.
The reason why it worried me so much, is that I feared it being scheduled during Adam's hockey season again. He absolutely must be present as my petitioning spouse and getting time off from hockey is almost impossible. But it worked out perfectly and I'm SO thankful and blessed!!
Did you know that once you begin the immigration process, you aren't allowed to leave the country until they give you permission to? That's why Adam and I were apart last hockey season. But this season, I'm approved and ready to go. Yeah!
This journey, certainly was unique. It made me feel like a bad person?! I'm not kidding you. They interrogate you like you are a criminal - like you are doing something wrong. When in fact, we were doing everything right, honestly and by the books. I would say it's like "Guilty until proven innocent". Yes, I know it's backwards. Just saying.
Anywho, it's a big positive this week and we're so happy!! I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll give you another update once the couple's interview is completed. Wish us luck :)
